Possible Battlefield 3 Game Modes In The Future

A lot of people before the launch of Battlefield 3 and even now have been dying for a new and innovative game mode to play. Now that we know "Assault conquest" is to release soon, we still want more. "Assault conquest" was featured in past Battlefield's so maybe the best thing that DICE could do for the veteran and even new players in the Battlefield series is bring back old game modes that made previous games so great. We think that's what DICE will slowly be doing that for the next year or so after the "Assault conquest" release. So lets get started and look over some game modes that will possibly be featured in Battlefield 3's future.
First, probably also one of the most requested out of all game modes is "Titan mode". "Titan mode" was originally a game mode from Battlefield 2142 where the objective was to disable two futuristic ships (in BF3's case a aircraft carrier), then board the ship and destroy it to win. The game mode was a big hit and has a sort of mix between the conquest and rush modes we know today. This would definitely be a amazing game mode to implement into Battlefield since most of the maps already have aircraft carriers to destroy. This game mode would really give Battlefield veterans a real reason to play Battlefield 3 and really give some background into why Battlefield really got popular.
Next is a game mode recently from Battlefield 1943 is Air superiority. In this game mode there are two teams with jets for everyone to fly in on two separate aircraft carrier's (one for each team), with everyone's jets having the same ability's meaning everyone will have a supply of rockets and gatling gun so no one has a advantage. The objective is to destroy enough of the enemy jets to deplete the team of tickets. Another thing I could add onto the game mode is after you deplete the opposition of tickets you have to board the ship and sink it. Maybe there could be two game modes, one without and one with. This game mode in my opinion sounds extremely fun to play and caters mostly towards players that love flying in jets.

And the last game mode I will inform you about is a mode actually made up by myself. I was putting this together in my head while writing about the other modes and though I would share it with you all. This game mode is where there is one nuclear weapon is located in the middle of the map where the Russians are trying to detonate the weapon after the Americans defused it. There will be multiple points the Russians (attackers) will have to get past before they can reach the last stage or bomb and there would only be 75 tickets for attackers to destroy the objective (similar to rush). The mode is similar to a mode in the most recent Medal of Honor. The mode was named Combat mission, where you had to pass five consecutive objectives to win. But with this Battlefield 3 game mode, you will have to pass five objectives, then arm the nuclear weapon to detonate. This game mode would take quite a long time to finish and would mainly cater to people that enjoy long, epic, and nerve racking games. I could defiantly see myself playing a game mode like that a bit!

That's a wrap on some game modes we would like to see in the future for Battlefield 3. Tell us what you think about these ideas, add onto them or take elements away from them, or even tell us about a game mode or two that you have had in mind in the comments below! I would love is they add a survival game mode, make 2 actually. 1 similar to Onslaught, bring that back, which was like Conquest and rush put together against AI enemy waves. 2 make the highly asked for Dinosaur survival mode. Just imagine the Dinosaur counterparts to each Vehicle, like using a Jet to take down a Pterodactyl, or a T90 against a Triceritops or even a buggy with a gunner against a pair of Dryosaurus. Make the game able to be played with one, or two squads, meaning 8 player max, 4 players and option, to go against a variety of dinosaurs. I would loves these 2 modes, I am a big fan of Co-op ;)

Love the ideas! I especially like anything that has to do with navy missions...

1. Maybe even more interesting than only two aircraft carriers would be a set of ships on each team. The team to sink the other teams ships first would win. You could include many jets and helicopters for the aircraft carriers. Other ships could be those such as a surfaced submarine or a battleship. Imagine being able to jump onto a turret of a battle ship and firing at opposing ships. I think it would definitely have to take some serious fire power or planting of bombs on an enemy's ship in order to make the game worth while.

2. Another game mode I've always thought would be fun is similar to the hostage game mode of Counter-strike. I think it would be so much fun to have one team hold a hostage/ or multiple hostages. The other team would have to save the hostages with only so many lives. Both teams would be docked points for executing a hostage on purpose or on accident, The attackers would need to tag the hostage. This would cause the hostage to follow them. If the person who tagged the hostage is killed and no other team mates are within proximity the hostage would then begin to follow the killer back to his base. Essentially, it would be like steal the flag but with a hostage. Instead of dropping a flag when killed and the enemy picking it up it would be a hostage who would be forced to follow one team or the other. If all hostages are killed then the round would end and points would be distributed toward the teams. The team who killed the hostages would most likely loose, unless the team had already saved enough hostages to balance out the points in their favor. The way to save a hostage would be for the attackers to infiltrate the defenders base, tag a hostage/hostages, and make it safely back to their own base.
