Battlefield 3 Open Beta Showing Its Out on Xbox 360
Just moments ago the Battlefield 3 open beta on the Xbox 360 seems to me out. But when you try to download it, it asks you to pay a outrageous amount of microsoft points for it. I can get you a picture/screenshot of the price since Ive already downloaded early access but they open beta is on the front of the Xbox Dashboard. This is very strange since it was reported to be out tomorrow morning. Maybe it was just a accidental but no one will probably be gullible enough to spend that much so it is technically not out. We will just have to see how it works out. Tell us what you think about this and if you have experienced the same thing.

Today DICE finally opened their online Battlefield 3 merchandise store. The store offers a assortment of t-shirts and hoodies as well as bracelets and 300 signed and numbered exclusive lithograph wall prints. Other things such as DICE and Mirrors edge merch is also available.

Battlefield 3 Platoon Emblem Editor in Battlelog Screenshots and Info
Just today we got a screenshot of the Battlefield 3 Platoon Emblem editor. It seems to be a lot like the CoD: Black Ops Emblem editor but with a little more precision with the Mouse. Also it looks like you dont have a limit of layers and you dont have to be a no-life to unlock the pictures. The platoon editor looks very cool but I would have preferred a way to import a real picture as well. Tell us what you think about this Platoon emblem editor in the comments below.

Battlefield 3 Beta is now open on PC! We have some pictures of someone downloading the beta here. Im not sure yet if they got a code or its just straight off of origin. All we have to wait for now is the Xbox 360.

Battlefield 3 Beta Keys Will Need To Be Entered On BF3 Early Access Portal on All Platforms
Today the Battlefield 3 beta is coming out and everyone is complaining about their beta code, but Im sure most of them dont know exactly how they will redeem it yet. Well I spoke with someone on Xbox Live that have gotten a BF3 beta code and was playing BF3 last night with the title of the game on his gamer card reading "BF3 Open Beta". He was telling me about how he redeemed the code and it was a little more complicated than I though it would be.
Battlefield 3 Beta Keys Being Sent Out From 4AM - 9AM US Time
A lot of people out there still have not received their beta keys, And Im one of them. But dont be worried, the beta wind be starting for another 3 hours anyways. According to DICE via Twitter, beta keys will be sent out at around these times below. Also theses beta keys are confirmed at 3.9GB so thats why its been taking so long for these e-mails to go round.
US Pacific Time: 4AM - 6AM
US Eastern Time 7 - 9AM
Europe: 1PM - 3PM
Australia (AEST): 9PM - 11PM
Japan: 8PM - 11PM JST
And note that the times above are for PC and Xbox only, the PS3 versions still is not a confirmed time but it will be later than the two others.

Battlefield 3 Beta Gameplay Live stream Tournament
Today Gamespot is going to be streaming BF3 live for their "BF3 early development tournament. The stream should be starting 5:30PM Pacific Standard time but it seems their running a bit behind schedule. We will be seeing a lot Battlefield 3 multiplayer so hang onto your pants! A lot of people want to come into the beta tomorrow blind on what their doing but for all you guys that can wait this is for you!

Battlefield 3 Beta Screenshots of Video settings and More
Today somehow king0rism from Battlefieldo got into the BF3 beta early and posted on their forum some pictures of the Battlefield 3 video settings and more. It shows all the video settings available including killscreen, End of round screen, Deployment screen, Scoreboard, and Squad selector. This really shows us what we will being seeing in the beta early tomorrow. Also it shows us what video settings we will be able to choose from. Here all of the screenshots.

Today is the day before the Battlefield 3 Beta is released. And that means that everyone is waiting for their beta keys to be sent to them for early access. But something that has just been assumed to be released a midnight is not true. EA Australia has reported that Aussies should expect the bet a 10pm Sydney Time. And a Battlelog Dev says that he expects the beta to go open at one global time.

Battlefield 3 Squad leaders Will have Ability to Call Artillery
DICE has recently come out and said that there will be a squad leader that will be able to call in artillery strikes to anywhere on the map. Also a commander feature that has been relayed over from Battlefield 2142 that will now be available for any regular soldier is a UAV, and there will be a unlockable UAV for the engineer class also. This is most likely implemented since there will be no Commander in BF3.

Battlefield 3 Caspian Border Beta Gameplay Discovered
Today we got our hands on some caspian border gameplay. It looks like he is playing with the MK11 is he is basically showing us around a part of the map most of us haven't seen before. We think that this is someone or a DICE/EA employee got into the beta and recorded this. Yet we are pretty certain this is PC gameplay. We know now that Caspian border will be in the beta client, but only there will only be able to be accessed by select testers for internal testing reasons. Maybe if Caspian border runs smoothly in the tests it will be open to the public in a beta update.

Amazing Fan-Made Battlefield 3 Wallpaper
Today on the Battlefield 3 forums I saw a thread called awesome BF3 picture. And I can say that title was not misleading. The picture shows the soldier from the front cover of BF3 with helicopters and jets flying around in the Background. This picture probably took a while to make and looks amazing! You can download the picture by clicking on it for full size then Right clicking and saving image on PC and on Mac dragging the full size image onto you desktop. Enjoy!

Today we got some new pictures of Battlelog in action. As most of you know after a big outrage by the community Battlelog will allow you to create multiple soldiers. Now these pictures show that and a lot more such as dog tag unlock page. It also shows a page where the person almost looks like they are customizing their dog tag. Well Im done here you can basically see for yourself how awesome Battlelog looks. We will see what Battlelog looks like really soon here and we will be telling you what it offers as soon as possible.

Battlefield 3 Beta Email Invitations Coming In
Early today DICE announced the dates for the Battlefield 3 beta (Sept. 27th early access, 29th for everyone else). And now we get news that people in sweden are getting their Beta code emails. Down below is what the email reads.
Battlefield 3 Veteran Weapon Revealed
EA's Gun Club has revealed the veteran weapon for BF3. By joining the Gun Club, which is entirely free, you'll get access to the M1911 Pistol in Battlefield 3 Multiplayer. The pistol will also be available to all registered Battlefield veterans. It seems strange that the veteran weapon is a weapon that comes stock with most games but I'm just glad were getting it. Battlefield 3 Operation Guillotine High Resolution Screenshots

Last week DICE teased us with a one minute video of Battlefield 3 Single-player Operation Guillotine. Today they released the full trailer. And its only a measly less than two minutes long. It basically shows the single-player just not in as many cuts. But we did see some pretty awesome scenes with the shotgun. This is on the Xbox 360 though so if you are a PC player expect much better graphics! The new trailer is down below.

PS3 Magazine Shows Amazing New Battlefield 3 Images
The Official Playstation Magazine October issue just hit the Newsstand today and it comes with a 8 page special on Battlefield 3. And this article is different from most other ones because it shows some amazing new screenshots of Battlefield 3 and Vehicle renders. Besides the amazing images they a pretty interesting article on the game and the setup at Gamescom 2011. The screenshots and renders look absolutely amazing! It looks like real pictures straight from a Battlefield. You can actually read the article from these high resolution snips from the Magazine. Hope you enjoy them.
Battlefield 3 Beta is Ready for PC and Awaiting Approval from Microsoft and Sony
Speaking at the FNAC meeting in Paris, France, DICE GM Karl Magnus Troedsson gave a co-op demo of Battlefield 3 and answered questions. According to Planete-Battlefield.fr (unrelated to us), KM Kusa (French Community Manager) said the PC beta is ready, but now they are working with Microsoft and Sony to "accelerate preparations". From what we have heard, it takes 2-3 weeks for Microsoft and Sony to approve content, running it through tests to make sure it won't brick your console among other things. That said, we have no idea when the build was submitted to them. As far as we know, the the Battlefield 3 beta is still slated for sometime this month. Via EA UK Forums.

Tokyo Game Show | Sony Press Event Live Stream
The Tokyo Game Show is about to kick off and the Sony press event starts tonight / tomorrow. Since Tokyo is ~12 hours ahead of us in the United States, the press event actually starts in in a short time from now (9pm PDT). We aren't sure if Battlefield 3 will even be mentioned or shown, but Battlefield 3 is listed as being shown in the Playstation 3 zone on the show floor. EA Confirms Two disks for Battlefield 3 on Xbox 360
Today we learned that the Xbox 360 Version of Battlefield 3 will have two DVD discs. This means that the PC version probably will too. We already knew this before but now EA has confirmed it. Disk One contains the Multiplayer, Co-op, and in HD installation Content. And Disk two will hold the Campaign on it. This is a bit saddening since I sure don't like switching Disks and since its just campaign, its not worth much to get up and change the dang thing. The PS3 version will contain a single Blu-ray disk that can hold 25-50GB's of data.

No Command Rose on Battlefield 3 Beta But on Launch
Yesterday DICE's Community Manager Daniel Matros on twitter was asked if there would be a Command Rose in Battlefield 3. Daniel replied with "Not in the Beta but on launch". A lot of people really wanted to have a Command Rose in the game and no one was certain if they would have one in it.

Physical Warfare Website a Battlefield 3 Countdown? Nope. Fake!
Today someone informed me of a new website called physicalwarfare.com and it looks very interesting. There is two countdown clocks on here that currently say around 85 and 133 hours. Way off of any know release for Battlefield 3 and thats what caught my attention. I would almost think the font would have been in the BF3's logo's font but maybe it will and its not supposed to be known yet or they couldn't do that font. But still this looks totally official with the copyright and trademarks at the bottom. Would have took quite a good coder to pull off something so close to this unless they used EA's source code as a template.
Battlefield 3 Beta Running on Xbox 360 Picture
An EA Employee from the UK posted on his personal twitter account a picture of the Battlefield 3 Beta running on his Xbox 360. His twitter account since then has been deleted, but the picture on yfrog still remains. This might suggest that the Battlefield 3 Beta has been approved by Microsoft and is awaiting release. The Xbox 360 in the picture does not look to be a dev kit. This also means we might be seeing the Battlefield 3 Beta pretty soon here since the final Beta version is already done. This is very exciting news and we all hope this is as true as it looks!

Today DICE released yet another Battlefieldblog, today on a single player trailer and and about the storyline. This is very interesting since we haven't seen anything about the single-player aspect until earlier this week on OXM. There is also a single-player gameplay teaser that came along with it. This teaser shows some people shooting mortar and your character hopping over a wall and of course, shooting enemies. This is a very action packed Battleblog and is the most revealing about the single-player yet.

Battlefield 3 Single-Player Preview
Official Xbox Magazine Posted a pretty long preview of the Battlefield 3 Single Player on their Site. It is focusing on a setting in Tehran where you take the role of Henry "Black" Blackburn. Another Character we learned about is Jonathan "Jono" Miller who is one of your first Squadmate in the Mission. The mission is very detailed and I really like how they scripted this out. This is a huge release since the Campaign hasn't been talked about that much. Enjoy.

No Mounted Machine Guns in Battlefield 3
In all previous Battlefield Games, Basically all of them, Had certain points on the maps (Mostly close to the bombs or flags) machine guns that you could lay down fire to the enemy that is trying to take your flag or Bomb. Now that most weapons are able to have bipods on them then aren't much use. According to Alan Kertz these mounted machine guns wouldn't be very useful since now you can have your favorite gun in that place.

VG247 Just got back from DICE headquarters where they asked quite a few questions about the Battlefield 3 Beta to the Battlefield 3 Executive Producer, Patrick Bach. No Other details on when, they just got a rather repetitive answer of, "Sometime Soon" and "Sometime between now and September." Bach also does talk about some changes they've already made from the Alpha trial and Day one Patches.

Now on the shelves, the Xbox magazine have a article on a subject that hasn't been around to long. Call of Duty or Battlefield? I just basically covered which one you should pick. Of course these two games in my opinion have two different kind of Gamers, I don't think they are two different types of games. Call of Duty players are more Fast paced, and more to win than to be a decent teammate. And battlefield is more based on taking your time, Playing the objective, and stay team oriented. If you have a subscription of this magazine you should be seeing soon, or maybe you already got it. Thanks to PlanetBattlefield for having the front cover and some article pictures.

Battlefield 3 will ship with 2 Disks for Xbox 360
Gematsu.com reports that Battlefield 3 on the 360 will be released on two DVD's. With the News also come some Images from a Japanese Blog that shows a BF3 advertisement in a Japanese game shop or a magazine. Xbox 360 players are getting eager to see some gameplay footage from the console but at this date we have seen little PS3 gameplay an a lot of PC gameplay. Maybe the bonus CD will simply be the making of the game. Most likely though it wont be a extra game or arcade game. With the month of September now here, hopefully we will see a beta date announcement in the next couple days.
