[UPDATED] Battlefield 3: Patch Notes for Next Big BF3 Balance Patch | 2.19.12

A post on the EA forums by a user named Symthic us a full list of what will most likely be the final patch notes for a huge upcoming patch that's release date isn't known.

These patch notes came straight from DICE, confirmed by Alan Kertz (Demize99):

2. Attachments

Fore grip
Basically before it reduced the horizontal recoil by 50%, in these files it reduces h-recoil only ~20-33% depending on weapon.
It also increases the minimum spread 20% ~ 50% depending on stance and weapon.

Suppressor
Suppressors will not reduce the damage anymore.
Now it will reduce the distance where damage starts/stops to drop off instead.
For most weapons it will decrease the min spread by 25% instead of 50%
Although looks like M60 will still have the same 50% effect.

Heavy barrel
For most of the weapons it decreases ADS min spread by 75 or 50% depending on weapon.
Recoil is still increased by 10 or 15% and HIP min spread by 20-25% depending on weapon.

It doesn't make AN94 100% accurate anymore while aiming down the sight.
Reduces ADS min spread by 75% and only increases recoil by 10%, the hip fire penalty is 20% for AN94
G3A1 is same than AN94 except heavy barrel increases recoil 6.7% and hip fire is increased only 14.3%

For few weapons it also makes Spread increase per shot 10% higher.

It will also increase drop-off end distance by 50% making weapons more deadly at ranges between 50m and 90m, depending on weapon.

Flash suppressor
Will decrease recoil by 17 ~ 25% depending on weapon.
For most weapons it increases hip min spread by 20~25% but some weapons don't have any hip accuracy penalty.

Extended magazine
There seems to be extended magazine for AS VAL which didn't exist before.
With ext mag it will have 30 bullets in a mag instead of 20

Just fix the f**king bugs instead of the weapon balancing.. I swear I'll hang up my flak jacket and put away my boots if they don't address the stupidly obvious bugs in the next patch.

m16a3 neeeds nerfing why isnt it ever nerfed, it has hardly any recoil nearly every player picks this weapon now.

Too many NERFs, the L85A2 accuracy NERF is NOT NEEDED, it is already pretty inaccurate.

DICE need to sort real in-game problems out like promised features such as VOIP, jeep horns, re-designed UI, commo rose etc...

What about fixes for DCs, crashing on round ending, having to load the game up when you want to switch server, black screens on load up....

The only reason these guns are being NERFed is because whiners like you pick on something and call it to be NERFed, then you pick on something else and call for it to be NERFed because it is working as it should... everything else is just under powered because you whined too much and they got NERFED.

NO MORE FUCKING NERFS! DICE YOUR LOOSING THE RESPECT OF BATTLEFIELD FANS!

Just fix that input lag... Nothin else is more important!
That input lag makes this game absolutely shit and unplayable.
How many days is it now, about 200d without a fix?
I´ll choose MW-series instead of this in the future, if this is the proper way to act with us, customers.

Most of these Nerf Beggers will never be satisfied until every Weapon in the game acts alike. How much fun it would be to choose from Weapons that all have same Damage, same Recoil, etc. Of Course there will be and should be some weapons that are better in some situations. Just choose whatever suits the best to your Play Style and quit whining for Gods sake.

Although USAS12 with Frag Ammo is pretty much "Easy Mode" ;)

Nerd the full auto USAS-12 that thing is spoiling the game!


Also get RID of MAV road kills. They are beyond annoying. Like a fly buzzing around lowered the audio for them as well.

Allow assault to use the M4a1 or allow engineer to REMOVE launchers!

i agree fix the bugs first. Weird things are happening consistently e.g not being able to switch weapons, helicopters exploding in mid air for no reason, falling through the ground, constant crashing, jet gun lag and draw distance issues, flickering smoke glitches etc

Then rush mode needs a lot of work (map design and increasig time for attackers. and also recon class needs mortar type weapon from bfbc2 so they can takeout vehicles. All buildings shou;d be accessible in maps from now on. cold war and heavy metal should be next maps

NONE of these Damage changes should be needed...
only fix the m16a3, USAS-12, and the MAV getting road kills and MAV getting up buildings.... its just retarded. im starting to lose respect for DICE.

Still no private servers for consoles.......are you fucking kidding me DICE?

They are fixings the bugs you Mongoloid. This is just a list of tweaks. try looking for the bug fixes before running you're mouth.
